Job Summary:

Responsible for organizing a series of work into a single portfolio consisting of reports that capture project objectives, costs, timelines, accomplishments, resources, risks and other critical factor project delivery and budget forecasting on a short, medium and long term basis based.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Oversight for work intake, project prioritization, resource management, resource capacity analysis and process/procedure development and maintenance for departmental operating models.

  2. Leads and manages portfolio and project activities of the business unit and develops relationships with the business.

  3. Leads strategies to remove barriers to ensure that portfolio initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.

  4. Partners with vendors for service delivery and the delivery of technology solutions for the business unit.

  5. Ability to interface with and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and stakeholders. .

  6. Leads strategic project planning and annual budgeting.

  7. Leads senior/executive management business partners to plan and ensure project objectives are met and budget aligns with IT budget objectives.

  8. Leads strategic direction for aligning a specific organization's project plan of record and annual goal objectives with annual operating budget by specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identifying risks, contingency plans, identification of budget and achieving long-term and short-term financial objectives with the primary goal of ensuring that ROI thresholds are met.

  9. Directs and coordinates budget activities of multiple projects and evaluates the impacts of changes from original portfolio plans across multiple projects to provide direction.

  10. Provides leadership to executive management to determine future systems direction for both internally developed and vendor maintained systems and performs feasibility studies.

  • Requires BA/BS degree.

  • 10+ years of experience in related field.

  • Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Experience in organizing a series of large size projects into a single portfolio.

  • Experience in multiple technical and business disciplines.

  • Broad based experience to plan and design large complex project portfolios.

  • Master's degree, multiple trade certifications or other continuing education preferred.

  • Advanced strategic management and organization skills required.

  • Process reengineering and operations experience required.

  • Experience with project management methodology and tools preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interface with and communicate effectively with all levels required.

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills preferred.

  • SharePoint required.

  • MS Office required.

  • Excel required.

  • Vizio required.

  • Tableau preferred.

  • Incumbent should also have an expertise understanding of the Enterprise Annual Governing Process Life Cycle.
