NationalAccounts Clinical Account Director Sr
Location: Any US location
Clinical Account Director Sr is responsible for clinical account management of an assigned group of large and complex clients.
The CAD Sr delivers strategic, consultative, clinical support to National Account Employer Groups and Plan sales/account management. These activities produce client-specific, data-driven recommendations that incorporate programs and solutions designed to impact clinical cost, quality and patient safety outcomes. The role will leverage clinical knowledge and experience to interpret data and analyze the health of the client’s population, identifying care gaps, trend drivers and opportunities to improve outcomes. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provides consultative subject matter expert information on Anthem’s Health and Wellness programs.Collaborates with clinical and financial analysis programs leaders to develop and refine program evaluation metrics to assist in determining the drivers of health care costs for client accounts. Evaluates and presents clinical program and financial reports and makes recommendations to the client regarding ways to increase the health of the worker population while reducing healthcare costs. Partners with client leaders and account executives to design benefits and programs which reduce costs without sacrificing the quality of care. Participates in the development of clinical performance guarantees for assigned clients. Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Implements and integrates complex clinical programs using project management principles. Understands business processes and proactively identifies the need for creative and innovative changes to processes to support client needs. Identifies need for and develops new policies, procedures, or operational guidelines within clinical account management. Functions as a preceptor for new Clinical Program Director staff. Participates in finalist presentations as requested. Independently able to respond to RFPs.Understands the operational processes that support the health & wellness solutions.
Requires a BS in nursing or other health-related field; 10 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Advanced education preferred. Requires operational knowledge and subject matter expertise on a broad spectrum of medical/care management functions.
Twoyears of account management in a managed care setting with experience insales, account management, and program development is preferred.
Experiencein analyzing and/or interpreting industry data is preferred.
Previousconsulting firm experience a plus.
Approx.30% travel required, some overnight.
