NAF Maintenance Worker in WICHITA FALLS, Texas

1 Position is for NAF Facilities (18-027) 1 Position is for Lodging (17-012) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Applies a basic knowledge required to maintain all power and non-power operated equipment for rental. Equipment includes outboard motors, mowers, motor, electric and manual operated tools and appliances. Using a variety of test equipment, diagnose malfunctions of motor to determine source of trouble and extent of repairs required. Plans and lays out work according to manufacturer's manual, tear down, adjusts, repairs, reassembles and conducts operational checks on equipment. Responsible for maintaining records of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, for accounting and budgetary procedures. Maintains a bench stock of lubricant and other items necessary for maintenance of the equipment. Responsible for keeping maintenance area clean, orderly and safe condition as required. Secures the buildings and property at the end of the tour of duty. Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have knowledge in maintenance of machinery to include boats, mowers and motors. Applicant must be able to demonstrate reliability in maintaining safety and orderliness in the work place. Must also demonstrate general familiarity with various motors. Must be able to operate and clean hand and power operated tools and equipment. Must be able to actively walk, stand, push, bend, stoop, climb, and work in awkward positions. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50. Subject to satisfactory completion of National Agency Check (NAC). Must possess a valid driver s license. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner. This is a drug testing designated position. Incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
